Awantipora Police on Tuesday said that it has solved a burglary in awantipora and also arrested an accused person involved in the commission of crime and also recovered stolen property from his possession.
In a statement issued on Tuesday police said that Police Station Tral on 7th March this year received a complaint from Dr Arizoo Jan Medical officer SDH Tral who stated therein that during duty hours some unknown burglars have stolen away her leather bag from the locker of her room at SDH Tral containing gold ornaments and other essential cards etc.
Stating that a case FIR number 23/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Tral and investigation was started, police in the above referred statement said that during the course of investigation, officers taking advantage of modern techniques, gadgets & examining the CCTV footage, arrested the accused person from Kharpora Shahabad area of Awantipora and identified him as Arfat Ahmad Malla son of Gh Nabi Malla resident of Kharpora Shahabad.
“Stolen property including 05 golden rings, a Pendulum and other essential items etc were recovered from his possession. He has been shifted to Police Station where he remains in custody”, reads further the police statement. In the concluding para of its statement police appreciated its efforts in cracking the burglary cases and resolved to act tough against individuals involved in any kind of criminal activities.
