Sajjad Ahmed Najjar elected President MC Kishtwar

Kishtwar  The election to the post of President 74-Municipal Committee (MC) Kishtwar was held on Monday under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Sharma.
Assistant Commissioner Revenue Kishtwar Akhter Hussain Qazi was Duty Magistrate for the conduct of election held at the Conference Hall of the DC office Complex.
Among others present included Presiding Authority Ghulam Mohd Bhat (ward member, MC ward no.13), EO, MC Kishtwar, Tariq Mehmood Balwan, SHO Kishtwar Abid Bukhari, other concerned officers besides all members of 8 wards.
Voting was conducted by the Presiding authority Ghulam Mohd Bhat in presence of Duty Magistrate/ACR Kishtwar. Sajjad Hussain Najjar was elected as President, Municipal Council, Kishtwar as he polled all 8 votes out of 8 votes present and voting.
Int’l Women’s Week: MSK Kishtwar holds series of awareness progs in schools

Kishtwar| March, 7: On the direction of Deputy Commissioner (Chairman), Ashok Kumar Sharma and under the overall supervision of District Social Welfare Officer (Nodal Officer) Tariq Parveaz Qazi, District Level Centre For Women, (Mahila Shakti Kendra) Kishtwar on Monday organised series of awareness programs in the schools to mark International Women’s Week. The awareness programmes were organised at Upper Primary School and Girls Middle School Semana.
The MSK team, while interacting with the teachers and students, said that the week is observed across the world to spread awareness about education and gender issues, besides to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
