DLSA Bla organizes Seminar on Int’l Women’s Day

Baramulla  A seminar on the celebration of International Women’s Day under ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahaotsav’ was on Monday organized by District Legal Services Authority Baramulla in collaboration with One Stop Center, here.
The Seminar was presided over by the DLSA Secretary Baramulla, Fariqa Nazir.
Speaking on the occassion, Secretary DLSA said that the main objective of organizing this seminar is to make women in general aware of their entitlements under various enactments being provided to them.
She said that the DLSA Baramulla provides free legal aid to the women who face violence and discrimination in the society besides make them aware with regard to their rights and incentives being provided to them.
The representatives of One Stop Center said that they are always available for the Women in distress and working for the welfare of the Women.
They highlighted that One Stop Center Baramulla is providing support to many Women on daily basis and also apprised the gathering of women about their basic rights and schemes available for them in legal institutions as well as in other line departments.
They also asserted that awareness regarding laws has to be created at mass level so that women are aware about their rights.
