ADC Doda reviews status of convergence mode , other dev works

Doda : Additional Deputy Commissioner Doda Dr R K Bharti on Monday convened the meeting of different departments here in his office chamber to review the convergence mode developmental works being executed in the district.
During the meeting threadbare discussion was held with regard to the MGNREGA convergence plan, status of roads under BRO, issues related to Forest Clearance of projects, implementation of Forest Rights Act and Har Gaon Haryali campaign. He also sought suggestions for smooth execution of convergence mode activities.
While giving a resume of the works taken up under the convergence plan of forest and soil conservation department, the ACD informed the chair that during the 2021-22 around 28 works were approved of which only 8 were taken up.

The ADC directed the ACD to ensure that the set target of Person Days generation was achieved by the end of the current financial year. He asked the departments to incorporate maximum labour intensive works in the next financial year’s convergence plan.
While reviewing the status of roads under BRO the chair was informed that 90% are completed and are under maintenance stage. Regarding the roads which are not yet complete, including Chattergala BT and other stretches, the BRO said that the work on the same would be paced up in the coming days for early completion of the same.
The ADC directed the GREF authorities to submit the list of roads being executed by them with updated status. Besides, he asked them to identify the activities in coordination with the RDD department which shall be feasible to be carried out under convergence plan. Moreover, the ADC directed the social forestry department to take up roadside plantation along with the National highway and other accident prone roads as a road safety measure.
The meeting was attended by OC GREF, ACD Doda, DFO Bhaderwah, DFO Batote, District Soil conservation officer, AD Planning DC office besides other concerned officials were also present.
