Senior Men & Women teams finalized for Senior National Pencak Silat Championship 2021-22 at GHGKC, Punjab

Srinagar  : The Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council Saturday conducted the screening of the J&K Pencak Silat Teams for the onward participation of Men and Women probables in the Senior National Pencak Silat Championship 2021-22, scheduled to be held at GHG Khalsa College, Ludhiana Punjab from 11th to 14th March 2022.
The screening committee of the J&K Sports Council comprising Nuzhat Ara, Divisional Sports Officer, Kashmir; Nusrat Gazala, Central Sports Officer and Maqsood Khan, member sports screening committee cleared the J&K teams for the said championship.
Prior to the national participation, the J&K teams had undergone a 21 days coaching camp sponsored by J&K Sports council at Indoor hall, Polo ground Srinagar under the supervision of Mohammad Iqbal, Coach, J&K Sports Council.
During the training, latest and advanced skills were imparted among the participants.
“I am fully satisfied with the hard work and dedication of the campers during this 21 days coaching camp and I am confident that we will get maximum medals at this event and hopefully will retain our overall champions place this year too”, said coach Iqbal,
The camp and screening process was also supervised by Secretary, J&K Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul, who expressed her satisfaction after interaction with campers, she also conveyed her good wishes to the participants for their participation in the forthcoming senior nationals at Ludhiana
Men Team :- Junaid Javid, Rahul, Robain Singh, Karan Chopra, Akhil, Sehaj Kumar, Aadishwar Vaid, Peer Adil Manzoor, Muzimal hamied, Varun Singh Jamwal, Sheikh Najmus Saqib, Ajay Sharma,Kamran Gulzar, Tawzeeh Mujeeb Khan, Suhaib Jeelani, Ravees Ahmad, Nassir Ahmad Digoo, Nasir bashir, Suheel Ahmad dar, farhan Reyaz, Tawqeer Farooq, Jehangir Shafi, Asif abi, Waseem Shah.
Womens Team:- Komal Dhiman, Manavi Katal, Sabahat Afreen, Aanisa Yousuf, Mysara Mohiddin, Muskan Shaban, Safiya Muzuffar, Insha Jan, Towzia, Aurusa Khan, Jahanvi katal, Raabia Farooq, Saboora, Aamina Bashir, Sehrish Mushtaq, Tawseefa Hasan, Shaniba Jan, farah Farooq & Bilqis maqbool.
The Senior National Pencak silat championship 2021-22 will be followed by the 5th Edition of Federation Cup 2021-22, which will be held at Lovely Professional University and is scheduled from 26-28th March 2022.
In addition, both the national level championships will be the platform for the senior teams to qualify for the forthcoming back to back South Asian Pencak Silat Championship ( Kathmandu-Nepal ), Asian Pencak Silat Championship ( Tashkent-Uzbekistan ) and 19th World Pencak Silat Championship 2022 ( Kuala Lumpur- Malaysia ) and 6th Asian Indoor and martial Art games –( Chonburi-Thailand ) later this year.
The Championship is organised by Chandigarh Pencak Silat Championship under the aegis of Indian Pencak Silat Championship, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt of India and Sports Authority of India. The J&K Men and Women teams are sponsored by Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council.
