J&K Grameen Bank conducts 3 day awareness campaign in District Rajouri

Rajouri  : J&K Grameen Bank conducted a 3 day awareness campaign in District Rajouri under the Digital and Financial Literacy Awareness Programme.
The awareness camps were organized at unbanked areas of Siot, Dharamsal, Sialsui, Tatapani and Dhangri from March 3, 2022 to March 5, 2022 through the Financial Inclusion Fund supported by NABARD. The programmes were conducted on the theme of Public participation in promoting cashless economy and Social Security Schemes.
Mohammad Nisar Malik, Regional Manager Rajouri/Poonch, J&K Grameen Bank, spoke at length on various developments in the banking sector and latest loan schemes of the bank with special emphasis on Agriculture Sector lending and Govt Sponsored schemes.
The participants were also informed regarding various modes of getting cashless transactions from banks, safeguards to be kept in mind in order to prevent cases of frauds while availing different banking facilities with special reference to use of ATM Cards and JKGB Mobile Banking application. People were also educated about the benefits of Aadhar Seeding and Mobile seeding with their respective saving bank accounts which is the need of the hour for availing DBT benefits.
Viney Mehra, HOD Financial Inclusion Department, J&K Grameen Bank, informed the masses about the benefits of Social Security Schemes launched by GOI i.e. Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti and Atal Pension Yojna. He also appealed to the public to make the national programme of social security schemes a big success by creating a chain of information. He also highlighted that the programme intends to impact the gathering regarding digitisation by educating the people about the benefits of digital banking and cashless economy. He stressed on availing benefits of bank schemes available in a hassle free manner.
Officials from Agriculture Department, emphasized on various facilities of the Bank and impressed upon the public to avail the facilities of agriculture loans from the Bank. They appealed to the participants not to use any middle man for availing any benefit from the bank and approach the bank branch directly.
Micro ATM facilities were also facilitated in these areas through Micro ATM Cash Van wherein transactions were performed for needy masses through Rupay Debit Cards and Aadhaar based transactions.
Also, on-spot enrolments under PMSBY, PMJJBY and APY were done besides handing over sanction letters to the beneficiaries under Joint Liability Groups, Kisaan Credit Cards, Easy Finance to traders, etc.
Branch Heads of the Concerned Branches, Lalit Hans ( BO Sialsui) , Mr Ritish Sharma (BO Dharamsal), Anchal Deep Singh ( BO Tatapani), Ashray Sharma ( BO Siot) and Shubam Sharma ( BO Dhangri) also appealed the public to avail the benefits of loan schemes and Social Security Schemes.
Sarpanchs and Panchs appreciated the efforts of the Bank in conducting awareness programmes for said villages and urged the staff of J&K Grameen Bank to organize such programmes in future for promoting the schemes of the banks so that all needy people be covered under banking facilities.
