Illegal encroachment removed in Sunderbani

Rajouri : District Administration on Friday removed an illegal encroachment from a chunk of land in Village Kund of Sunderbani Tehsil, paving the way for the construction of a road.
Directions for removal of this encroachment were issued by Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal after which a team headed by Tehsildar Sunderbani along with police component and other revenue officials launched an anti-encroachment drive on Friday and removed the encroachment.
Tehsildar Sunderbani said the encroachers were creating hurdles in the construction of the road in the area, and as per the directions of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, the encroachment was removed and the construction work was started.
Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal said that action against illegal encroachment is the prime priority of the administration for which necessary directions have already been issued to the officials down the line.
He further stated that more such anti-encroachment drives will be launched in days to come.
