Hakeem welcomes opening of historic Jamia masjid for prayers, demands for more CBMs

Srinagar  : Chairman People’s Democratic Front ( PDF) Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen has welcomed the decision to open historic Jamia Masjid , Srinagar for prayers after a long long wait and demand by the people.
In statement issued on Friday Hakeem Yaseen while welcoming the decision to open Jamia masjid for prayers , from today – Friday following Shab-i-Meraj , said that the move would go a long way to rebuild confidence and faith among the people of Jammu and Kashmir on justice and grievances redressal system besides bridging the gap of prevailing alienation among the people . Hakeem Yaseen has urged the government to take more confidence building measures to initiate the process of dialogue and reconciliation to solve the genuine socio-political urges and aspirations of the people. He said unless people are not taken into confidence about their socio-political aspirations , all endeavours to bring peace in Jammu and Kashmir would be futile . He said government should , instead of exercising muscle power ,try to bring people including all
stakeholders , civil society groups and political parties into confidence by holding dialogue and reconciliation to bring peace in the trouble torn Jammu and Kashmir. He demanded that all the political detenues should be set free un- conditionally to pave way for a dialogue process.
