Drug peddler arrested in Baramulla contraband substance recovered: police

Baramulla : Police on Friday said that it has arrested a drug peddler in Baramulla and also recovered contraband substance from his possession.
In a statement issued on Friday police said that the officers led by SHO Police Station Baramulla Police along with In-charge PP Delina during daily routine checking arrested two drug peddlers identified as Imran Zameer Khan son of Zameer Ahmad Khan resident of TrikanjanBoniyar and Yasin Ahmad Ganie son of Ab Rehman resident of Delina Ghat at Juhama Baramulla and also recovered 10 grams of Brown Sugar from their possession.
Stating that the above named accused have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody, Police in it’s statement said that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Baramulla and investigation set in motion.
In the concluding para of its statement police appealed people to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood but warned that people found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt with as per law, stating therein further that consistent actions against drug peddlers are taken to keep society free from the scourge of drug menace.
