Doda: Adjudicating Officer FSSA decides 09 cases; imposes Rs. 52500 fine on erring FBOs

Doda : In a major move towards speedy trial of FSSA cases, Adjudicating officer Dr. Ravi Kumar Bharti (Additional Deputy Commissioner Doda) on Thursday decided 9 cases and imposed Rs 52500 penalty on the different Food Business Operators, including Tops brand mixed jam for certain violations.
During the trial, the violators were directed to follow the provisions of Food Safety Standards Act, Rules & Regulations & adhere to the guidelines strictly to provide safe & quality food to the Consumers.
It is pertinent to mention that the long pending cases are being given preference while hearing such cases. Pertinently, the verdicts as well as pronouncements issued after meeting out the set procedures and listening to the both the parties of the under trial cases, the offenders are strictly direct to desist from malpractice of adulteration & take corrective measures envisaged in the Act.
