ADDC Kishtwar chairs meeting at KwarTanji Village to finalise RR Plan underPakkalDul HEP

Kishtwar : Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kishtwar Sham Lal Thursday visited village Kwar and Tanji of block Nagseni and chaired a public meeting for finalization of Resettlement & Rehabilitation (RR) Plan under PakalDul Hydroelectric Power Project.
BDC Chairman Nagseni Mohd Ashraf Chaudhary; DDC member Nagseni Faisal HussainChoudhary; DPO Kishtwar Sunil Kumar Butyal; CAO S K Bhagat; CAHO Sanjay Sen; BDO NagseniAbhayIndu Sharma besides District Officers, PRIs and locals of the area remained present in the public meeting.
During the public meeting, threadbare discussions were held with general public and local PRIs regarding the execution of works projected under the R R plan of PakkalDool Hydro Electric Power Project. The modalities for effective execution of the works, under the plan, were also discussed with concerned officers.
The ADDC briefed the component wise works undertaken under the RR plan and solicited the locals to identify the sites of work on rational basis for smooth execution of works at an earliest.
The locals of the areas also highlighted various issues/grievances and sought up-gradation of road, water, and power and education infrastructure.
After listening to the grievances, the ADDC assured them that their genuine demands/issues will be redressed in a time bound manner.
He issued a number of directions to the concerned officer for the time bound redress of grievances.
The CHO, CAO and CAHO were asked to organise mass awareness camps in the area to disseminate information about the schemes of their departments and latest agriculture and allied techniques.
Later, the ADDC along with BDC chairperson Nagseni, DPO Kishtwar and BDO Kishtwar and SarpanchKawar visited High School Kwar and checked the attendance register of the staff.
During the interaction with the students at High School Kwar, the ADDC asked the students to study with full dedication as after a long time offline classes are being resumed. He directed the teaching faculty to be punctual and do their job with utmost dedication and zeal.
Meanwhile during the surprise inspection of the Middle School Nagra, the school was found closed.
Taking serious note of the unauthorized closure of the School, The ADDC ordered CEO to seek explanation from ZEO Nagseni and teachers initiate strict action against the defaulters by withholding the pay till pending enquiry.
