Weekly Block Divas meetings held across Ramban

Ramban  :District Administration, Ramban Wednesday organized weekly “Block Diwas” meetings in all designated blocks to reach out to the public besides resolving their issues at their doorsteps.
At Batote, Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR), Dhrindra Sharma along with Tehsildar, BDO, officers of other line departments, PRIs and general public attended the weekly Block Divas meeting.
The ACR distributed Domicile, Character certificates and other revenue extracts among the applicants during the block divas.
Responding to the issues highlighted by the PRIs, the ACR passed on spot directions to concerned departments to resolve all their genuine issues on priority basis. He also directed BDOs to ensure completion of PMAY houses.
The ACR also exhorted upon PRIs to keenly monitor all developmental works being executed in their respective areas to ensure quality and timely completion of works besides working under mutual coordination with officers and field staff to achieve tangible results.
The Sub-divisional Magistrate Banihal, Zaheer Abbas Bhat and Tehsildar Banihal, participated in Block divas meeting and asked the officers to improve service delivery system besides addressing public grievances highlighted during Block Diwas.
At Ramban PRIs highlighted their demands including upgrading of Middle School, Neera and High School Chanderkote to next higher level, responding to the demand, the Chief Education Officer, VK Koul informed that these schools are already recommended for up-graduations.
On the issues pertaining to construction works under PRIs Area Development Funds, the BDO Ramban, Vishal Atri assured the people that he will visit the spot to resolve the issues. Executive Engineer Jal Shakti, Ramban also assured the Sarpanch of resolving the water supply issue in Kunfer area.
The Block Divas Programme also organized at Block headquarters Ukhral and other designated areas where officers resolved various issues pertaining to different departments on the spot and directed the officers to take-up the rest of issues with their higher authorities for its early redressal.
