Emphasis laid on early completion of allotted ADP works, Sets March 25 deadline for completion of Back to Village works

DDC Doda reviews performance of PDD under Area Development Plan, B2V scheme

Doda  :District Development Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma Wednesday chaired the meeting of key Officials of PDD and reviewed the performance of the department under Area Development Plan and Back to Village.
The DDC enquired about the physical and financial progress achieved with regard to allotted works, bills submitted, amount drawn against the completed works till date, bills pending for payment at treasury/department level. He also inquired about the bottlenecks impeding the execution of works, if any.
The DDC, while reviewing the progress of works allotted under ADP, directed the executing agency to complete all the works. The Ex En PDD was asked to verify the works for which the entire amount is not yet released and take up the matter with the higher authorities in coordination with the planning section.
Further, the DDC directed the Ex En to revert the amount saved after the tendering of the works immediately to the Govt so that it shall be used in other priority sectors.
With regard to one work allotted to ED Batote, the DDC directed the concerned to take up the task on priority and ensure completion by or before the end of March. With regard to a work of block Bhalla under ADP, the DDC directed the concerned to discuss the issue of insufficient funds with ACD and concerned Panchayat.
Regarding Back to Village works, the DDC directed the concerned to complete all the works by the end of 25th March. The ACD was asked to propose the works against the 4 non feasible works in coordination with the PRI members with in next seven days so that funds shall not lapse and works is executed within days.
Moreover the DDC has also asked the ACD to submit the report regarding the bills submitted by the department for payment, the bills pending for payment and date of receiving of bills so that appropriate action shall be ensured against the erring officials, if any.
The meeting was attended by CPO Doda, Ex En PDD Doda, besides AEEs, AEs and JEs were also present.
