DC Samba chairs DRSC committee meeting

Samba : Deputy Commissioner Samba, Anuradha Gupta, who is also Chairperson District Road Safety Committee, Monday reviewed the implementation of the Road Safety Plan.
Senior Superintendent of Police Abhishek Mahajan; Additional Deputy Commissioner Suram Chand Sharma; Sub Divisional Magistrates of Ghagwal and Vijaypur, Assistant Road Transport Officer, representative of NHAI, Chief Medical Officer and BRO besides other Committee members were present in the meeting.
The DC discussed the Action Taken under the Road Safety Plan by the concerned departments including implementation of provisions of amended MVA-2019, augmentation of trauma care centres, Deployment of Ambulances having ALS and BLS, Road Audits, installation of Crash Barriers on NHW and other major roads besides other measures.
The DC directed the Committee members to ensure removal of encroachments and hoardings on the NHW, besides ensure corrective measures at the identified Black Spots within a specified time frame.
The revenue department was asked to identify land for parking of vehicles.
The District Administration has constituted Committees comprising Officers of revenue and other departments under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner and respective SDMs for expediting the action plan for Road Safety.
