Arrangements for Shab-e-Meraj& Maha Shivratri finalized in Rajouri

Rajouri : Additional District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Pawan Kumar chaired a meeting of the concerned departments, representatives of religious organizations and civil society members to discuss and finalize the arrangements for Shab-e-Meraj and Maha Shivratri festival.
Officers present in the meeting were DSEO, Bilal Rashid Mir; TehsildarRajouri, Mehmood Khan; ExEnJal Shakti Rajouri, Mushtaq Ahmed; AD FCS&CA, Arief Lone and other concerned officers.
Prominent citizens including Rajesh Gupta; Shafqat Mir; Tazeem Dar; Molana Farooq; Amir Mohammad; Shah Nawaz; Mohd Farooq Lone; Mohd Yousif; Khurshid Mir; YasirRafeeq; Ghulam Mohammad were also present in the meeting.
Threadbare discussion was held on the requisite arrangements including uninterrupted water and power supply, essential commodities, healthcare, cleanliness and illumination in and around the shrines, provision of transportation, parking facility and other related facilities.
The ADDC directed Jal Shakti and PDD to ensure uninterrupted water and power supply on the occasion of Shab-e-Meraj and Maha Shivaratri.
The FCS&CA department was asked to ensure the availability of essential commodities for the public during the festivals. The enforcement departments were also asked to intensify market checking to keep check on hoarding, overcharging and black marketing.
The Municipal authorities were asked to maintain proper cleanliness and sanitation in the town.
The ADDC asked the concerned officers to make all necessary arrangements well in time and ensure that required facilities are provided to the general public so that they don’t face any inconvenience on the occasions of holy festivals of Shab-e-Meraj and Maha Shivaratri.
The civil society members also highlighted a number of issues pertaining to the general public and sought early redressal of the same. The ADDC assured that all their genuine concerns would be redressed on priority.
