ADDC Kulgam reviews achievements under Agriculture, allied sectors

Kulgam : The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kulgam, Riyaz Ahmad Sofi Tuesday chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the achievements under the agriculture and allied sectors in the district.
During the meeting, the ADDC took a comprehensive review of progress made in the farm sector under centrally sponsored schemes being implemented for the welfare of the farmer community of the district.
He also took stock of the progress and achievements recorded in the current fiscal under the Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Horticulture Fisheries and allied sectors under various schemes and flagship programmes.
The ADDC further asked the concerned departments to educate the farmers about the initiatives launched by the Government for development of agriculture and allied sectors.
He also emphasized upon the concerned officers to conduct field visits to get real time feedback from farmers.
Sofi stressed to promote and propagate modern technological intervention and make farmers aware about these technological interventions to boost the agriculture sector. The meeting was attended by CAO, CAHO, CHO, AD-Fisheries and other officers.
