NYK Rajouri hosts 2 day District Level Sports Tournament

Rajouri : Nehru Yuva Kendra Rajouri, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India organised a two day District level Sports tournament.
The tournament was kicked off on Feb 27, 2022 here at Sports Stadium and concluded Monday.
A number of teams associated with various Youth Clubs participated in the tournament which witnessed competition of Volleyball, Kabaddi, Kho- Kho, Badminton and Tug of War.
ADDC, PawanParihar graced the event as the Chief Guest, while B A Bakshi (Manager, Sports stadium Rajouri) and Vikrant Sharma (State Level Resource Person of NYKS) were Guests of Honour.
Addressing the gathering, PawanParihar expressed his happiness over organising the sports event at district level which witnessed participation of over 200 players.
He assured players and sports enthusiasts that people will witness massive development of sports infrastructure in the district in near future.
Sports Manager, B. A. Bakshi, in his motivating address, said that Physical activity plays an important part in the overall development of youth. He further exhorted the students to make sports an important and integral part of their lives.
Vikrant Sharma assured full support to the participants in honing their sports skills. He also offered his best wishes to all the participants for the tournament and encouraged them to deliver their best performance and earn a good name.
The event saw active and enthusiastic participation from all blocks of the district. At the culmination of the tournament, the winners and runners up were awarded with momentous awards by the Guests.
Dodason Bala Club won the volleyball finalby defeating Choudhary Club, Bagla, while Ajmer Seven star club won the kabaddifinal by defeating Budhal Club.
Rajan Sharma Kho-Kho team won the Kho- Kho game. Angrej Singh Club and Sahil Kohli Club won Badminton and tug of war competition, respectively.
The event was managed by Mohammad Farooq, Youth Club President and NYV SalamatChoudhary. The District Level Sports Tournament was held under the overall supervision of NitinHangloo, District Youth Officer, NYKRajouri.
