Srinagar : A Special demolition drive was Saturday carried out by Enforcement Wing of Lake Conservation & Management Authority (LC&MA) in the areas of Nigeen, Peer Takiya, NIT near Nigeen Club and SaidaKadalAshaibagh.
During the drive, 03 single storey houses, 04 2nd storey houses were demolished and some truckloads of illegal earth filling were seized/ removed.
The demolition drive was accompanied by NT LC&MA, police contingent from PCR Srinagar and territorial police headed by SHO Nigeen.
Meanwhile, a total of 30 illegal constructions have been demolished so far in the month of February 2022 and 05 FIRs have been lodged against the violators in the concerned Police stations falling under the ambit of LC&MA jurisdiction.
Meanwhile, the IrfanBahadur Secretary LC&MA has appealed to all the public residing within the LCMA jurisdiction and in lake not to go for any sort of illegal constructions/ encroachments, as the Enforcement wing will continue its demolition drives.
Moreover, the locals residing in the area of LCMA Jurisdiction are informed to apply for online building permissions through LCMA online official portal/website.
