Hakeem demands foolproof arrangements for Mahashivratri ( Haerath) , Meraj- ul- Alam celebrations

Budgam : Chairman People’s Democratic Front ( PDF and Former Minister Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen has urged the government to make foolproof arrangements for celebrations of Mahashivratri also called as Haerath on Kashmir with traditional religious fervor and enthusiasm. He said ” Haerath ” festival is the most revered annual religious event being celebrated in all parts of the country especially by Kashmiri Pandit , know to be the hallmark of Kashmir’s centuries old composite pluralistic culture and ethos .
In a statement issued on Saturday , Hakeem while highlighting the significance of Mahashivratri ” Haerath” has urged the government to make all the necessary amenities available to Kashmir Pandit Community to enable them celebrate the religious affairs without any difficulty . He has especially soght to ensure availability of round the clock power and drinking water supply besides ensuring availability of fish ,Nadroo and walnuts in the market in an adequate quantity . He has asked the government to press into service mobile fish and walnut sale vans in nook and corner of the Jammu and Kashmir for convenience of the devotees . He said muslim brethren also celebrate Haerath along with Kashmiri pandit community with love and respect whic renews bonds of pleuristic values , communal harmony and brother hood among them.
PDF Chairman has also appealed to the government to make all the necessary arrangements for celebrations of Shabi Meraj by the Muslim brethren which coincidently follows on 1st March , coincidentally on the occasion of Mahashivratri .
