First evacuation flight arriving Mumbai with 219 Indian nationals from war ravaged Ukraine has generated hopes of safe return of J&K students stranded in Ukraine. The reports about the safety of the students have though brought respite to their parents but ultimately increasing worries of parents of the stranded students won’t die down till the return of their wards to their homes. Since intensity of war in the starting days is unprecedentedly high the concerns of the people about the safety of the stranded people also rise to unprecedented heights and as such the concerns of the parents of the stranded students are high because of the severity in the attacks of Russia on Ukraine.  What raised the concerns of the parents of the stranded students was the shutting down of airspace for civilian flight and consequently return of an Air India fight due to closure of airspace . Connecting parents with the students after the closure of air space though brought respite to the parents of the stranded students but what concerned them was the restoration of the civilian flights for immediate evacuation of their wards. Keeping in view the confirmation of the Indian Embassy in Ukraine about the scheduled travel of 1500 students in six evacuation flights till March 3 the parents of the J&K students stranded in Ukraine too hope for the immediate evacuation of their wards despite the fact that the figures about the booking of students in the six evacuation flights schedule for arrival in India till March 3 are not available yet.

No one expected armed intervention of Russia at a very unprecedentedly high scale in Ukrain and no one can predict it’s end in days or weeks. In the situation of chaos and confusion better for the stranded students to remain in touch with the Indian Embassy in Ukraine for keeping their parents updated about their safety and look for opportunities for their travel to India in scheduled evacuation flights.

Keeping in view the rising concerns of the parents of stranded J&K Students the J&K Government too has established close contacts with the Ukrainian Embassy in Delhi just to facilitate the immediate return of the stranded J&K students from Ukraine. Since the close contacts of J&K Government with the Ukrainian Embassy in Delhi would by all standards of understandabilities keep the concerned parents updated about the travel of their wards in evacuation flights, the intensity of the chaos and confusion over the safety of J&K students is likely to go down in coming few days.  Undoubtedly living in a war zone amid missile strikes in cities and towns demands exemplary courage and patience but it is equally an irrefutable fact that there is no substitute to patience in the times of war and conflicts.
