DC B’pora reviews developmental projects in Sumbal sub-division

Bandipora : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, DrOwais Ahmad on Saturday visited Sumbal sub division to review the developmental activities in the area.
The DC took detailed review of various ongoing developmental projects including construction of bridges, augmentation of power infrastructure, works under JalJeevan Mission, up-gradation of drainage system besides reviewing health and education sector. The officers discussed threadbare the progress of each major project.
DrOwais passed on spot direction to remove all bottlenecks that hinder the speedy completion of projects. He directed to expedite the works with improvement in weather to complete the projects well in time. He also stressed on maintaining the quality of work.
He also took stock of the power scenario and directed the officers to ensure regular power supply besides ensuring augmentation of existing power structure.
The DC also visited Boys High School Sumbal, Govt Girls High School Sonawari, and Government Degree College Sumbal and reviewed the preparations for the reopening of schools. He assured every possible support from the district administration to ensure every possible help to the school.
DrOwais also interacted with the members of PRIs who apprised him about various issues of public interest and sought his intervention. He gave patient hearing to all the members and assured them of every possible help to ensure speedy redressal of grievances.
The DC was accompanied by Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, Sub Divisional Magistrate Dr Bashir Ahmad, and Executive Engineers of various departments and members of Panchayat Raj Institutions.
