2 burglars arrested in Kulgam, Stolen property recovered: Police

Kulgam : Police on Saturday said that it has arrested two burglars in Kulgam and also recovered stolen property from their possession.
In a statement issued on Saturday police said “on Police Station Qazigund on 22nd February received a written complaint from one person who alleged that some burglars have sneaked into the house of Ruby Jan wife of Aijaz Ahmad Khan resident of Kuibagh Qazigund and have decamped with Laptop, Mobile Phones, LCD, Camera and other essential household items”.
Stating that while taking cognizance of the matter a case vide FIR No 28/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Qazigund and investigation was also initiated, Police in it’s statement said that during the preliminary investigation, some suspects were rounded up and during investigation two notorious burglars identified as Rouf Ahmad Qazi son of Gull Mohmad Qazi resident of Qazi Mohalla and Tariq Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Rashid Bhat resident of Kurigam Qazigund confessed their involvement in the said crime, stating therein further that on their disclosure stolen property was also recovered from their possession and investigation of the case is going on and more recoveries & arrests are expected.
In the concluding para of the above-reffered statement Police warned strict action against those individuals found involved in any kind of criminal activity.
