Jammu:An anti-encroachment drive was conducted by the Enforcement team of Jammu Municipal Corporation here in different parts of Jammu City.
The Drive was conducted on the instructions of Commissioner, JMC, AvnyLavasa and under the close supervision of Assistant Commissioner (Revenue), JMC. The anti-encroachment drive was conducted in the areas of Indira Chowk, Bus Stand, Jewel and Bakshi Nagar.
The JMC team removed encroachments/ illegal rehries from the roadside and lanes which included illegal ramps, railings etc. A number of by-lanes were also freed from encroachments and opened for the general public.
Further, Jammu Municipal Corporation appeals to all its citizens particularly rehriwalas/ street vendors not to encroach upon main roads, footpaths, and pavements as the same cause inconvenience to the general public and pedestrians and also create obstructions in the free movement of vehicular traffic
