Extensive arrangements made for the celebration of Shab-e-Meraj at Shopian

Shopian :To ensure smooth celebration of Shab-e-Meraj, being celebrated on 28th of February, 2022, the District Administration Shopian Friday informed that all requisite arrangements have been put in place across the district.
It was further informed that extensive arrangements across all domains have been made to ensure smooth observance of the holy occasion at Aasar- i-Sharief Jinab Sahab Pinjoora and Arhama where devotees from across the district throng to take part in prayers.
Besides, power and water facilities, the Administration has also pressed into service adequate transport and parking facilities for devotees at both the places and the concerned have been directed to leave no stone unturned in facilitating the people.
During a meeting convened here, the Additional Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani, Friday reviewed the arrangements finalised for the holy occasion of Shab-e-Meraj.
The ADC directed for ensuring that all facilities as required were put in place at Ziarats and other places of worship where major congregations are expected.
Simnani also emphasised strict adherence to Covid Appropriate Behavior (CAB) and other COVID-19 guidelines. He urged the people to ensure compliance with preventions and guidelines to prevent spread and contraction of the virus.
Meanwhile, similar arrangements had been put in place in the district for the celebration of the Shab-e-Meraj.
Simnani directed Municipal Committee Shopian to ensure proper cleanliness in and around the Shrines of the district.
ARTO was directed for pressing into service the Sumos from Batapora to the Shrines for the convenience of the visiting devotees.
Among others, Tehsildars, ARTO, Ex. Engineers, EO, Municipal Committee, Shopian and other concerned were present in the meeting.
