Reasi: Awareness on Women Centric Schemes, issues held at Panchayat Ghar Dadura

Reasi : District Level Centre for Women (DLCW) Reasi, in collaboration with Women Development Corporation and District Legal Service Authority Reasi, on Thursday organised a day long awareness program for women here at Panchayat Dadura.
The programme was attended by Sarpanch Rahinder Kumar, Panches, District manager Women Development Corporation, DLCW Staff, DLSA Reasi, Women of Self Help Groupsof JKRLM Mission and girl students of Degree College.
Speaking on the Occasion, Monika Sharma Women Welfare Officer and Surchika Sharma District Coordinator DLCW, imparted awareness to the participants regarding women centric schemes and programmes of the Government like Pension Schemes for Old age, widow and physically challenged persons, Various pre Matric and Post Matric Scholarship Schemes for Students, PMVVY, Sukanya Samridhi Yojana, Employment Generation schemes:- Tejaswini, PMEGP, Mumkin, besides services provided by One Stop Centre, Women Helpline 181, Childline 1098.
On spot registration of the women was done under NMDFC, NBCFDC, NHFDC and WEP Scheme of Women Development Corporation.
District Manager of Women Development Corporation explained in detail the Loan provided under different schemes like NMDFC, NBCFDC, NHFDC and WEP to start up their employment.
Panel Lawyer Pallvi from District Legal Services Authority briefed the participants about the Violence and the types of Violence faced by the Women in general. Women were made aware regarding prevention and elimination of violence against them.
The DLCW Staff urged the women to come forward and Break their Silence & Raise voice against the evils of the society. The participants were advised to Dial 24/7 Hour Toll Free no. 181 to get Access to Justice, Access to Welfare and Access to District Administration through One Stop Centre, if anyone is facing any kind of Violence whether Physical, Sexual, Emotional, Economic and Dowry related harassment.
