DC Kishtwar reviews clearance of Quarry licenses at Distt Level Single Window Committee meet

Kishtwar : Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Kumar Sharma Thursday chaired District Level Single Window Committee Meeting of Geology and Mining department to fast track the process of clearance of Quarry licenses submitted by contractors.
Meeting was attended by ADC KishtwarKishori Lal Sharma, Divisional Forest Officer Kishtwar, Sagar Singh, Chief Agriculture Officer Kishtwar, Satish Kumar, Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti Department Kishtwar, Anil Kailu, District Officer, Pollution Control Board Kishtwar, M S Bali, District Mineral Officer Kishtwar, Dr Brijesh Manhas, Wildlife warden Kishtwar, Majid Bashir among other concerned Officers.
During the meeting, a comprehensive discussion on the subject was held during which the DC directed the District Heads of concerned Line Departments to visit the Quarry sites and expedite Clearance of cases submitted by the contractors through a single window committee.
He directed all the concerned departments to jointly visit the site for conduct of physical verification in a time bound manner.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned authorities to work in coordination and said that strict monitoring is required to ensure that nobody indulges in illegal mineral extraction.
Besides, a committee comprising DMO Kishtwar, concerned Tehsildars and taxation Officers were directed to inspect the stone crushers in the district and scrutinize the records, besides to ensure the demarcation of the mining site. He stressed on judicious utilisation of the natural resources for achieving the goal of sustainable development.
Meanwhile, a deadline of a week’s time was set for the stakeholder Department for furnishing the clearance report
