Srinagar : Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party President Syed Muhammad Altaf Bukhari has urged the Union Government of India to take up necessary steps for ensuring the safe evacuation of all students hailing from Jammu and Kashmir who are stranded in the war-hit Ukraine and Russia region. Altaf Bukhari has demanded the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ensure the safety of the students hailing from Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement issued on Thursday , Bukhari said that the parents of these young students are reasonably worried and given the suspension of flight operations, students are pushed into complete uncertainty.
Urging the Union Minister of External Affairs of the Government of India to intervene with the Government of Ukraine and Russia to assist these J&K students, Bukhari hoped for a safe and early return of students”.
‘I hope that the Union Government will make all efforts to ensure a safe and early evacuation of J&K students’, read the statement.
Raising the issue, he said, “There is no reason for the Government not to act promptly and take steps for the return of all stranded students back to J&K”.
