Srinagar : Chairman People’s Democratic Front ( PDF) and former Minister Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen has urged the administration to put in additional efforts to restore power , drinking water supply and road communication system which has severally broken down due to heavy snow fall across Kashmir region consecutively during last two days . He said people in Khansahib and Budgam areas are also confronting hardships due to break down of basic facilities including power and drinking water besides disruption in road communication system .
In a statement issued on Wednesday , Hakeem Yaseen said that due to non clearance of snow from roads , medical staff too was facing tough time to reach to their respective medical centers for treatment of the patients . He has also urged the district administration Budgam to conduct thorough survey of the orchards to assess the quantum of damage caused to fruit bearing trees due to heavy snow fall so that fruit growers and farmers could be provided ex- gratia relief .He has also called for conducting aerial survey of the far-flung forest habitations in Khansahib and Budgam like Tossamaidan ,Doodhpathri ,Shaliganga , Zagokharian etc areas to reach out to people and check possibility of any untoward incident including losses to life and property
