Poonch : To ensure safety of students after reopening of educational institutions, the Government Model Higher Secondary School Sawjian campus was today sanitized with the help of the local Army unit.
The LG administration has ordered the opening of all the educational institutions in JK UT from 21 February. It has also been made mandatory for all the schools to sanitize and fumigate the classrooms and schools campus.
The entire school campus including classrooms, laboratories, ICT laboratory, library, administrative block and washroom complexes was fumigated.
The School Principal Anwar Khan said that the commanding officer 40 RR, on his request, deputed a team of army personnel and sanitization experts who sanitized the entire School complex.
The Principal expressed his gratitude towards the Indian army which is always ready to take up issues of public interest. He also said that this sanitization will not only protect the life and health of students and staff but also prevent the spread of covid-19.
