Kishtwar : In a major breakthrough, Kishtwar District has achieved 67 percent vaccination of children in the 15-17 age group till date, even as 99 percent adult population has been vaccinated with first dose and 95 percent with both doses.
The information was given at a meeting chaired by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Sham Lal today to review the progress of Covid-19 vaccination drive in the district.
The DDC directed the concerned Block Medical Officers to work with added dedication and ensure completion of the overdue vaccination within 3 days.
Stressing on effective containment of COVID 19, the ADDC stressed on strengthening the contact tracing and intensifying the testing in their respective jurisdictions.
Meanwhile, in another meeting, the ADDC took appraisal of the progress of the data up-dation under Aspirational Development Block programme and Good Governance index in the district.
All the concerned district officers were directed to upload the data related to the progress made in meeting the indicators under Aspirational block viz Marwah and Warwan and under the Good Governance index on their respective portals. They were asked to share the same with the District Statistics and Evaluation Office on the prescribed format.
While elaborating various guidelines, the DSEO Kishtwar urged the District officers to update the information on their respective portals on a monthly basis for effective monitoring of developmental tempo in the district.
The meeting was attended by DSEO Akhil Thakur; DSWO Kishtwar Tariq Parveaz Qazi; CAHO Dr Sanjay Sen; LDM Kishtwar Nasir Butt; District Immunization officer Dr Chander, besides other district and sectoral officers.
