DC tours Anantnag town, major Receiving Stations

Ang : In view of the incessant Snowfall across the valley, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr PiyushSingla today toured various parts of Anantnag town and took stock of Snow clearance measures.
The DC visited Receiving Stations at NaiBasti and Sarnal and inspected the restoration work for power supply in the district. He directed officials from KPDCL to ensure that work on repair of faults and fallen supply lines is expedited to resume power supply to all areas.
Taking stock of the Snow clearance measures, the DC inspected various parts of the town. He said that the priority is to clear access to health facilities, and to clear major arteries connecting the district. He said the municipalities have deployed men and machinery and interiors of the town are being cleared.
The DC said that all control rooms are functional at district and sub district levels and anybody requiring emergency assistance can reach out on Pukaar helpline numbers. He said all officers incharge of essential services have been directed to remain alert and ready to tackle any eventuality.
