Police facilitates PCPG meetings in Srinagar &  Pulwama

Srinagar, Pulwama : As a part of public outreach programme, a series of Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meetings were facilitated by Police in Srinagar &Pulwama. These meetings were held while following social distancing & necessary Covid protocols.
In a statement issued on Monday police said that In Srinagar, the meeting was chaired by SSP Srinagar Rakesh Balwal Besides, SP North Raja Zuhaib and other police officers were also present. The meeting was attended by respectable citizens and other stakeholders of the area.
On the occasion, SSP Srinagar stated that the aim of establishing this newly Police Station is to provide speedy redressal of Public grievances/Complaints and prompt Police action in case of any untoward incident or in any kind of emergency.
During the meeting, participants raised various issues of public importance. The chairing officer assured the participants that their genuine grievances pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority and the issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with concerned authorities for their early redressal.
In Pulwama, the meeting was chaired by Dy SP Ops Kakapora Majid Mehmood accompanied by SHO Police Station Kakapora and was attended by Trader’s association and respectable citizens of the area.
During the meeting, social evils like, drug addiction, thefts, black marketing etc were discussed thoroughly and the participants were briefed about the ill consequences of the social evils, particularly drug addiction. The chairing officers requested the participants to highlight the drug menace and its ill effects among youth so that they get rid from the menace.
The participants also raised various issues of public importance. The chairing officers assured the participants that their genuine grievances pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority and the issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with concerned authorities for their early redressal.
The chairing officers also sought their cooperation in maintaining peace & stability in these areas. The participants in the meeting assured their full co-operation to Police and Administration in tackling social evils and also appreciated the efforts of Police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinions freely.
