Anantnag : A meeting of senior district officials and health department was convened Monday at Dak Bungalow here under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr PiyushSingla to take steps to pace up the registrations for Golden Cards.
At the outset, DC Anantnag congratulated the participants for successful containment of the spread of COVID-19 during the third wave. He said the focus is on ensuring complete coverage of the district population under PM SEHAT. He said that every citizen in the district must have a golden card and all steps must be taken to facilitate registration under the scheme.
Dr Singla, after deliberating with officials from Health department, SDMs and ACR, chalked out implementation strategy and area wise targets were set. A daily review will be held to track the progress. He advised the SDMs to prepare detailed micro plans in consultation with BMOs so that mobilization takes place on the ground level and targets are achieved.
Directions were issued to ADDC to take the PRIs onboard. He said that PRI intervention will be instrumental in achieving last mile registration.
The DC took stock of the Jan Aushadhi stores functioning in the district. He directed the health authorities to set up more such stores. Further, he said the BMOs should communicate the stock of medicinal supply to the administration on a regular basis. He said reports that some doctors are not prescribing generic medicines are being investigated through prescription audits and doctors found to be involved in such practices will be taken to task.
On the sidelines, all SDMs were directed to hold sub divisional level development review meetings every week and fix timelines for completion of works under CAPEX.
SDM Dooru elaborated that they have held detailed discussions with stakeholders to identify impediments in registration. Dr Singla said that dissemination of IEC material to inform the public about the benefits of the golden card is critical.
SDM Pahalgam said that micro level awareness camps will be organized to cover far flung areas. He said that the interventions will be focused on facilitating registrations.
SDM Kokernag said that they have collaborated with the ICDS department & RDD to spread awareness among the people. Teams have been formed at patwar level to register for the golden card.
DC Anantnag said that CSC operators can be placed at Nayabat and Patwar offices to serve as local centers of registration.
SDM Bijbehara said the focus has been on door to door awareness camps. He said registration camps will be organized at PHCs and focus will be on information dissemination.
ACR Anantnag said that a sustained online campaign will also be started to share the benefits among the people.
Dy CMO said that a pulse polio programme will be started this week. Booths have been identified and about 1.5 lacs drops will be given to eligible children during the drive.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, Dy CMO, all BMOs and CSC Operators of Anantnag among others.
