DC Bandipora felicitates 10th, 12th meritorious students, Holds Interactive mentoring session

Bandipora : As an encouragement to the 10th and 12th toppers, the District Administration Bandipora Saturday felicitated the students who bagged positions in recently declared results of 10th and 12th Class Board examination.
The students were felicitated by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmad during a felicitation cum mentorship ceremony held at Mini-Secretariat Bandipora.
During the felicitation ceremony, the toppers were honoured with a certificate of excellence and mementos as a mark of encouragement for their future endeavours.
While interacting with the meritorious students, the DC congratulated them for their brilliant performance and wished them a great future. He said these meritorious students inspire others students to work hard to excel in their studies and academic careers.
Further, the role of the teachers, parents, and guardians was also appreciated for grooming and preparing these students for such a brilliant performance.
The DC appreciated the students for their performance despite disruptions in normal schooling due to Covid-19 pandemic. He congratulated the parents and lauded the efforts of teachers as well and added that teachers and parents have an influencing role in the success of the children.
He further said that parents should not force their children for any particular stream of subjects as all the subjects are equally important and students can excel in any field of their choice.
Dy CEO Bandipora Gh Mohammad Sheik presented the welcome address while CEO Bandipora Ab Rouf Shaad presented vote of thanks.
The CEO thanked district administration for the felicitation ceremony and asked students to further work hard for achieving success.
Later, an interactive session was held in which students expressed their views and shared stories of their hard work and also asked questions regarding various career prospects. The questions were answered by Deputy Commissioner Bandipora himself, and the interactive session lasted for about 01 hour.
During the session, students shared their secrets of success and all the participatory meritorious students stressed on self-study along with regular schooling.
While expressing his views, Sohail Ahmad Dar a specially abled student thanked District Administration for encouraging and facilitating the students. Another especially abled student Simran Sarwar also thanked the District administration for conducting the felicitation ceremony.
Sundar Jan from Girls Hr. Secondary School Bandipora and Aabiro Nazir from New Green Land Senior Secondary School Sumbal who scored 500 out of 500 said there is no alternative to hard work. Both the students lauded the efforts of teachers and thanked District Administration for felicitation and the mentorship.
