Rajouri  : To take firsthand account of public grievances at their doorsteps, District Development Council Chairman Rajouri, Choudhary Naseem Liaqat Saturday held a public outreach camp here at Swari Bagyalkote Panchayat of block Koteranka.
The public and Panchayat representatives apprised the Chairman about a number of issues and demands of their areas. They demanded new road projects, up-gradation of schools, better health services, paucity of staff in Government institutions and other related issues.
The Chairman gave a patient hearing to all the issues and demands projected on the occasion and assured that all their genuine concerns would be redressed in a phased manner.
Addressing the public, the Chairman reiterated that the Council along with the Administrative unit is making untiring efforts to ensure that all the basic facilities are provided to the common masses at their doorsteps and redress the grievances timely so that they don’t face any inconvenience.
He also sought the active cooperation of the general public with the District Administration to take their areas to new heights of development.
Calling for strict adherence to COVID protocols, he appealed to the public not to lower guard and keep following the COVID related SOPs to avert the third COVID wave in the district.
Highlighting several Government schemes and programs meant for the welfare of the general public, he urged the people to come forward and avail the necessary benefits of the same. He said that he is committed to ensure that the benefits of all the schemes reach to the people.
He also directed the officers to work with a missionary zeal so that the people of the area may not be deprived of Government schemes besides he asked them to gear up their field machinery and ensure that the difficulties of the people are addressed and resolved at the earliest.
The Chairman also assured the public that all their grievances have been documented and all their genuine concerns would be redressed in a phased manner with the intervention of the concerned departments.
