Illicit timber seized in Ganderbal: police

Ganderbal : Police in Ganderbal on Friday said that it has seized illicit timber at Hayanpalpora Kangan area of Ganderbal.
In a statement issued on Friday police said that acting on specific input about timber smuggling at Hayanpalpora Kangan, a police party of PS Kangan under the close supervision of SDPO Kangan Syed Yasir Qadri raided the particular spot and seized illicit timber from one person identified as Abdul Karim Kumar son of GhMohd Kumar resident of Hayanpalpora Kangan, stating therein further that accused person involved in the commission of crime managed to escape from spot and efforts are on to effect his arrest’.
Stating that a case vide FIR No. 21/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Kangan and further investigation is in progress, police in it’s statement further said that moreover, efforts are on to nab the persons involved in the commission of crime. In the concluding para of its above-referred statement police said that consistent actions against anti-social elements are taken to keep society free of crime . Police in it’s statement also resolved to act as per law against those who indulge in criminal activities.
