DC Reasi reviews progress under CAPEX 2021-22

Reasi : District Development Commissioner, Reasi Charandeep Singh Friday chaired a meeting here at conference Hall of the DC Office Complex to review the physical and financial status of works taken up under District Capex Plan, 2021-22,.
Sector wise status of the physical targets achieved till date was presented in the meeting.
The DDC stressed upon district and sectoral officers to take all possible measures to accelerate the pace of ongoing works for their time-bound completion. He directed all the officers to ensure 100% expenditure and to avoid lapse of funds. He cautioned against any kind of laxity in completing the works within the fixed timeline. He asked the officers to take strict action against those officials, who create hurdles and delay the developmental works by not meeting the formalities even after allotment of works. He also stressed that quality of works shall not be compromised at any cost.
Regarding the education sector, the chair directed the CEO to ensure utilization of funds and resolve the issues/bottlenecks, if any, regarding departmental works and submit the report to his office.
The ACD was asked to ensure all works under Area Development Plan are executed and the funds were fully utilized within this financial year. He was asked to submit the status of completed works without any fail and further directed to submit the progress report regarding physical, financial bills of completed works to the District Development Commissioner’s office on daily basis.
Further, the DC asked the departments to start planning process for next financial year keeping in mind feasibility of projects so that works could be executed in time.
Meanwhile, the officers were also directed to verify the quality of works and release the payments only after proper verification by the concerned PRI, BDC/DDC.
The DDC further directed the officers to take appropriate action against the contractor who is deliberately delaying the project or compromising the quality of work.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Reasi Jyoti Salathia; Chief Planning Officer, Reasi Sunita Kanchan; Assistant Commissioner Development, Reasi Anirudh Rai, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer, Executive Engineers of PWD(R&B), REW, Jal Shakti, PDD, besides all BDOs of District Reasi.
