Jammu : On behalf of the entire staff of the Directorate of School Education Jammu and teaching community of the Division, Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma, Director School Education Jammu has expressed shock and grief over the tragic death of Mr. Surinder Singh, Lecturer, Political Science, Government Higher Secondary School Baggan, District Kathua, who left for heavenly abode today.
A two minute silence was observed at the Directorate Head Office Muthi , Jammu in the honour of the deceased to pray for the departed soul.
In his condolence message, Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma described Late Mr. Surinder Singh as an exceptionally dedicated and hardworking educationist who was liked and looked up to by his peers and others alike.
Late Mr. Surinder Singh started his journey with the Education Department in the year 1992 when he joined as a Teacher. From there he climbed ranks steadily and was first promoted as a Master and then in the year 2020 got promoted as a Lecturer.
Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma prayed for peace to the departed soul and expressed his deepest sympathies with the grief stricken bereaved family.
Directions have been passed by the Director School Education to Chief Education Officer Kathua, Prakash Lal Thapa to provide every possible help and support to the family of the deceased in this moment of grief and sorrow and expedite all pensionary benefits to the family.
Meanwhile, Chief Education Officer Kathua, P L Thapa, on behalf of the entire teaching community and officials of education department, has expressed extreme grief and sorrow on the death of lecturer Surinder Singh.
