Kathua  : Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Dr Raghav Langer Wednesday launched the official website of Shri Mata Sukarala Devi & Shri Mata Bala Sundri Shrine Board, at a brief ceremony held here at Sukrala Mata Shrine (Billawar).
The Divisional Commissioner also unveiled the official logo of the Shrine Board in presence of DDC Chairperson Kathua, Sh Mahan Singh; Deputy Commissioner, Rahul Yadav; SSP R C Kotwal; ADC Billawar Sandesh Kumar Sharma and others.
The website presently contains the information related to the history of the Shrines, Mata Ki Aarti, boarding facilities near the shrine, online donations and other miscellaneous information and would be upgraded further in future.
The Divisional Commissioner, who is also the Chairperson of the Shrine Board, stressed upon the need to work with all stakeholders for developing desired infrastructure and face lifting of the area. He said the area in and around the twin Shrines needs to be equipped with amenities for the pleasant experience of devotees coming from different parts of the Jammu and Kashmir and other states of the country.
The website www.Sukralamataji.in will be the official point of interface between the devotees and Shrine Board where people will get related information through the internet, Divisional Commissioner added.
Deputy Commissioner, Kathua Rahul Yadav informed that the website will be further upgraded with online modes for Donations, Prasad and Live Aarti for the devotees.
The Divisional Commissioner also chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the development scenario & ongoing works of the Sukrala Mata Shrine.
Earlier, Dr Raghav Langer also held detailed deliberation with Baaridars of Mata Sukrala Shrine and other stakeholders at Dak Bunglow, Billawar.
The Div Com said that the Board shall be reconstituted soon by the Government to give impetus to the all round development of the shrine. He said that proposal is also being submitted soon to the Government for constitution of Tribunal for determination of rights and entitlements of Baridars; who are an important part of this holy Shrine.
Pertinent to mention that Section 21 of Shri Mata Sukrala Devi ji Shrine & Mata Bala Sundari Shrine Board Act, 2013 provides for constitution of the Tribunal for final settlement of entitlements of the Baridars & stakeholders.
The Divisional Commissioner called for maintaining cleanliness and making shrine area litter free by encouraging biodegradable materials made up of leaves and avoiding the use of plastic and thermo-coal.
