DC Shopian discusses formulation of Distt Capex Plan 2021-22

Shopian  : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya Tuesday chaired a meeting regarding the formulation of District Capex Plan, 2021-22 and also reviewed the progress and achievements made under last year’s plan at Mini Secretariat Arhama, here.
The Chief Planning Officer, Shopian, Khursheed Ahmed Khatana, SE, R&B, SE, PHE, Ex. Engineers, AEEs, ACD, CMO, CEO, JKPCC and other senior officers of the concerned departments apprised the DDC about the expenditure made so far under District Capex and the status of work projects.
The DC asked the officers to formulate the plan well in due consultation with their higher authorities of the district. He said that the main focus of the developments must be an outcome in terms of benefit to the public.
He emphasised that the District Development plan should include only such works that address the issues faced by the common people.
The DC directed the concerned to expedite the pace of works to ensure cent percent utilization of funds released and also development to achieve the physical targets.
The utilization of funds shall be in a proper manner and the deadline should be strictly adhered to, the DC added. Moreover, he instructed them to remove all identified bottlenecks for smooth and speedy execution of the projects/schemes.
Highlighting the importance of timely completion of projects, DC stressed upon the concerned to ramp up the pace of works on undertaken projects for their timely completion and without compromising the quality standards.
The DC also assured the concerned of full support for sustainable and holistic development in the district.
He directed the officers to work in convergence mode with others for consolidation of funds so that jobs created under MGNREGA etc. are utilized in ongoing developmental works.
During the meeting, the DC was given detailed progress of the works taken up under the District Capex Plan 2021-22.
