2 arrested for Illegal mining &excavation of minerals, 2 vehicles also seized in Bla: Police

Baramulla  : Police on Tuesday said that it has arrested two persons and also seized two vehicles involved in illegal mining and excavation of minerals.
In a statement issued on Tuesday police said that officers from Police Station Pattan along with Incharge PP Mirgund under the supervision of SDPO Pattan arrested two persons and seized two vehicles (Tractors) for illegal mining and excavation of minerals at Jheel Bridge Shinghpora in Pattan area of district Baramulla.
Stating that the said accused have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody, police in it’s above referred statement further said that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigation has also been initiated.
Police in it’s above quoted statement appealed people not to indulge in any kind of illegal mining activities from any Nallah as it is the violation of Government rules and also warned People that those found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law and urged people to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local police units.
