DDC Chairperson Udhampur extensively tours Block Ghordi

Foundation stone laid for Bindla to Dalsar PMGSY road

Udhampur  : District Development Council Chairperson, Udhampur Lal Chand Saturday conducted a day long extensive tour of Block Ghordi and kick started & inspected various ongoing Developmental works.
During the tour, the Chairperson DDC Udhampur was accompanied by Vice Chairperson DDC Udhampur Juhi Manhas Pathania and Chairman BDC Ghordi, Aarti Sharma.
During the tour, the DDC Chairperson laid the foundation stone of the road from Bindla to Dalsar under PMGSY in presence of Vice Chairperson DDC, Juhi Manhas Pathania, Chairman BDC Ghordi-Aarti Sharma, Executive Engineer PMGSY, Devi Dayal, Sarpanch Panchayat Halqa Bindla, Sukh Ram, Sarpanch Panchayat Halqa Upper Barmen, Ram Lal besides general public were present.
While addressing the gathering, the DDC Chairperson congratulated the public of Block Ghordi for unprecedented developmental activities being carried out in the Ghordi. He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and MoS PMO Dr. Jitendra Singh for pacing up the development activities in the District. He also thanked Dr. Jitendra Singh for securing sanction of the Bindla to Dalsar road under PMGSY. He further said removal of Article 370 and 35A have paved the way for massive development of J&K, He said the J&K is moving towards a new era of development. He further elaborated that the implementation of three- tier Panchayati Raj System in J&K resulted in ushering a new round of development in rural areas. He congratulated Chairperson BDC Ghordi Aarti Sharma, DDC Ghordi, Rakesh Chander Sharma for their unprecedented efforts to carry out developmental activities in Ghordi. He also admired the efforts of the Officers/Officials of the Government Departments who are actively involved in implementing the government schemes and sought more such efforts from them in near future to bring Udhampur district among the leading Districts in the country. He reiterated that the District Development Council Udhampur is committed to work for the betterment of the public of District Udhampur. Enroute, Chairperson DDC Udhampur also inspected the execution of Ghordi to Barmeen road also.
Vice Chairperson DDC, Juhi Manhas Pathania also spoke on the occasion and elaborated on the role of the 3 tier PRI system and how they are working in collaboration with each other for maximising welfare of the society and to assure percolation of benefits of all Government Schemes to the last man standing in the last row.
Speaking on the occasion, BDC Ghordi, Aarti Sharma also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, MoS PMO, Dr. Jitendra Singh for pacing up the development activities in the Block Ghordi and for construction of all roads under PMGSY and NABARD. She also thanked District Development Council Udhampur and Chairperson DDC Udhampur in particular for providing support, cooperation and guidance to initiate and carry forward the developmental activities in the Block Ghordi. She informed the general public that till date 29 Nos. of roads under PMGSY, 03 No. of roads under NABARD have been sanctioned and most among them have been Black topped so far.
During the tour, Sarpanch, Panches and general public of the area put forth their issues and demands and thanked Chairperson District Development Council for construction of said road.
