3 accused arrested for kidnapping and sexually assaulting a minor girl in Srinagar:police

Srinagar : Police in Srinagar on Saturday said that it has arrested three accused persons involved in kidnapping and sexually assaulting a minor girl.
In a statement issued on Saturday police said that Police Station Bemina on February 11, received a complaint from a resident of Mansoor Colony Bemina who had alleged that his minor daughter has been abducted by unknown persons.
Stating that a case vide FIR No. 02/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Bemina and investigation was initiated, Police in it’s statement further said a special team was constituted immediately which acted swiftly and recovered the missing girl promptly from TRC Srinagar.
“During the course of investigation, it surfaced that the minor girl was kidnapped by three persons & and was assaulted sexually”, reads the police statement, adding that “ Raids were conducted at several locations and all the three accused involved in commission of crime were arrested and the car used in commission of this heinous crime was also seized”
Police in it’s statement further more said that the accused have been identified as Basit Ali son of Ali Mohd Dar, Irfan Ahmad Najar son of Abdul Rashid both residents of Fruit Mandi, Parimporaand Firdous Ahmad Angher son of Gulzar Ahmad resident of Beerwah, Budgam.
In the concluded para of its statement police said that as a part of investigation, necessary medico-legal formalities were carried out and the girl was handed over to her legal heirs and further investigation into this matter is in is in progress.
