DDC reviews progress of work on civic Projects in Municipal areas

Rajouri  :  District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal Friday chaired a meeting of Executive Officers of MCs and Engineers of PWD Department to review the progress on civic projects in Municipal areas under District Capex, UT Capex, SBM and My Town My Pride being executed by PWD.

During the meeting threadbare discussion was held regarding the ongoing projects/works like progress on the construction of Multi-storey parking, MRF, Shopping complex, repair and renovation of roads, Open Gym and Park and many other projects approved under Districts/UT/SBM/ My Town My pride schemes.

The SE PWD briefed the meeting about the progress of work on the projects taken up under different schemes. The meeting also discussed the bottlenecks hindering the progress of these projects.

It was informed that a total 12 works under District Capex, 35 Works under My town My pride and 28 works under UT Capex have been sanctioned in all the five MCs of the district.

While reviewing the progress of Material Recovery Facility (MRF) being executed under SBM, the meeting was informed that the civil work is in progress, and specialized vetting has also been done, and the project   would be completed within the set timeline.

While taking a review of the Multi-level parking facility, it was informed that the project was in the designing phase. The DDC directed to finalize the design at the earliest so that the work can be started.

Threadbare discussion was also held on the other projects, wherein the concerned Officers from MCs and PWD informed that the projects are in different phases of execution and 10 works under District capex have been completed.

The SE PWD assured the DDC Rajouri that the projects which are delayed due to the allotment issues will be started soon.

Other issues like land disputes were also discussed in detail; the DDC directed the concerned officers to work in tandem with Revenue Officers to resolve these issues. Moreover, the Revenue Officers was directed to identify suitable land for projects.

The meeting was attended by CPO, Mohd Khurshid; SE PWD; EXN PWD Maqbool Hussain, CEO MC Rajouri, EO MC Kalakote/Nowshera/Thanamandi.
