DDC Kishtwar reviews performance of RDD in block Mughal Maidan

Stress laid on expeditious completion of developmental works to benefit public

Kishtwar  : District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Kumar Sharma Friday chaired a meeting to review performance of the Rural Development Department in Block Mughal Maidan. He called for expeditious completion of developmental works to meet the aspirations of the general public.
He took a Panchayat wise review of physical and financial achievements under different schemes of the department.
Officers present in the meeting were ADDC, Sham Lal; Joint Director Planning Mohammad Iqbal; ACD Atul Dutt Sharma; DPO Sunil Bhutyal; ExEn REW Pershotam Kumar; BDO Inderwal Tasleem Wani, besides concerned VLWs and GRS.
The meeting reviewed person-day generated, houses constructed under PMAY-G, geo-tagging of assets, FTOs generation, Tendering and payments made.
The Executive Engineer ReW was directed to lay special thrust on the completion of Tendering process to facilitate early execution of the works in the block.
The DDC asked the concerned officers to ensure that all the tenders are immediately allotted for the expeditious completion of the works. He sought a detailed report on the mandays generated. He expressed dismay over poor achievement in some Panchayats. The department was asked to expedite the progress to achieve the yearly target of Man Days generation at the earliest.
He also took stock of the payment of installments to the beneficiaries under PMAY-G and asked for filling up the gaps, if any.
Stressing on Panchayat wise geo-tagging of assets, the DDC asked concerned officers to work on a war footing basis to complete the exercise at the earliest.
The DDC also took stock of the progress under 14th FC and CD Panchayat works and directed the concerned officers to expedite the progress to achieve the target within set timelines. He laid specific emphasis on maintaining close coordination and synergy among the officers for removing the bottlenecks and completion of works in a time-bound manner.
