B’Pora : Police on Thursday said that it has solved a theft case by arresting two accused involved in the commission of crime and have also recovered stolen property from their possession.
In a statement issued on Thursday police said “Police Station Sumbal on January 3 this year received a written complaint from Nazir Ahmad Reshi of Nesbal Tengpora to the effect”, adding that “during the intervening night of January 2 and 3 some unknown thief/thieves had broken down the shutter of the complainant situated at Naninara Sumbal and decamped with Kiryana items and some cash from his Shop”.
Stating that a case vide FIR No. 02/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Sumbal and investigation was initiated, police in it’s statement further said that during the course of investigation, officers zeroed in on 2 suspects identified as Kaiser Nazir Parray @Raja son of Nazir Ahmad Parray resident of Asham and Inayat Ahmad Reshi son of Late Ab Rashid Reshi resident of Nesbal Sumbal, adding therein that when officers spoke to them they learnt about their involvement in the commission of crime.
Police in it’s statement further more said on the disclosure of the said suspects the stolen items mentioned below including 01. Edible Oil (PIR) 15 Kgs each = 08 No.s 02.Cigarette Four Square = 20 Boxes (containing 400 packets) and 03. Dry Tea (SAMAVAR) = 05 Kgs were recovered.
In the concluding para of it’s above referred statement police said that further investigation is going on and more recoveries and arrests are expected and subsequently resolved to act tough against the individuals involved in criminal activities.
