Rajouri : District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal Thursday asked for effective measures for time bound sponsorship and clearance of self employment schemes.
He was chairing a meeting of the District Level Review Committee to review the progress under targeted schemes by the Banks in collaboration with the line departments.
Officers present in the meeting included CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; DSHO, Dr Sarfraz Naseem Chowdhury; CAHO, Dr Fazal Hussain; DDM NABARD, Kanav Sharma; LDM, Jyoti Prakash; District Officer NRLM, Javed Ul Sofi; AD Fisheries, Munish; AD Employment, Rekha Rani; PO DUDA, Kavita and other concerned officers.
During the meeting, the DDC took a comprehensive review of CD ratio, training of candidates to manage business, progress under flow of annual credit plan, implementation of flagship Prime Minister’s Employment Guarantee Prpgramme (PMEGP), coverage under KCC, Joint liability groups, number of self Help groups constituted and benefits provided under MUMKIN and TEJASWINI etc.
It was informed that the CD ratio is 45.1 percent as on date showing year over year (YOY) growth of 10.62 percent. Regarding the Annual credit plan, the meeting was informed that against the target of 875.16 crore, the achievement is 456.45 crores. Taking strong note of sluggish progress under ACP, the DDC asked the concerned officers to meet the shortfall and achieve the yearly target by February 2022.
Regarding the saturation of farmers under KCC, the meeting was told that 76873 farmers have been covered and an amount of Rs 516.81 crore stands disbursed as on 31 December 2021. The DDC also reviewed the progress of the KCC scheme under Animal & Sheep Husbandry and fisheries.
While reviewing the progress made under PM SVANIDHI, it was informed that 365 applications have been uploaded on the portal and 315 cases have been sanctioned while 311 cases have been disbursed.
Regarding Prime Minister’s Employment Generation scheme (PMEGP DIC), it was apprised that 504 cases were sponsored, 233 cases have been sanctioned while 150 cases stand disbursed. Under JKREGP, out of 61 cases, 40 cases have been disbursed.
About the measures being taken for strengthening of SHGs, the meeting was apprised that out of 535 cases sponsored during the FY-2021-22, as many as 518 cases have been disbursed.
Similarly, the DDC also reviewed the progress under NULM, ST/SC & OBC scheme, PMAY-U, Handicrafts (ACC), PMUMY, JLG’s, Atam Nirbhar Bharat, Ultra High density apple plantation, MUMKIN, Tejaswini, PMMY, PMSBY, PMJJBY etc.
The DDC asked the banks and line departments to work in unison to achieve tangible results. He also asked them to put in added efforts to increase the CD ratio in the district as there is always a scope for improvement.
Stressing upon the need for early sponsorship and early clearance of self employment schemes, he asked the concerned authorities to take effective measures to cover maximum unemployed and educated youth of the district under self employment generation schemes.
While taking a strong view of the low performance by certain banks in disbursement of self employment cases, he directed them to expedite the same.
