DDC Rajouri reviews progress on NABARD Funded Projects

Stress laid on time bound completion of projects; judicious & timely utilisation of funds

Rajouri : District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal Thursday chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the progress on the NABARD funded projects.
Officers present in the meeting included CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; SE PWD, Nissar Hussain; SE Hydraulics, JP Singh; CMO, Dr Shamim Un Nissa Bhatti; ExEn PWD Rajouri, Maqbool Hussain; ExEn JKPCC, Arshed and other concerned officers.
While reviewing the progress on the projects, the DDC sought a detailed report regarding the physical and financial progress on the projects being executed by different executing agencies in the district.
Regarding the progress under Jal Shakti sector, the meeting was informed that of 13 schemes taken up 4 would be completed by the end of this year and the funds provided for 2 schemes under the Minor Irrigation sector have been utilised fully.
Regarding Health sector, it was apprised that of NTPHC at Mangal Devi, NTPHC at Dhok and NTPHC at Tatapani are NABARD funded projects. The work on NTPHC at Mangal Devi and NTPHC at Dhok is in progress, while the work on NTPHC at Tattapani is complete, the meeting was told.
Discussing the progress under the PWD sector, it was informed that 53 schemes are funded under NABARD and the work on all the projects is underway.
The DDC sought a detailed account of the physical and financial progress on all the schemes, who in turn briefed the chair about the same.
The DDC directed the concerned authorities for resolving the pendency of issues and removing bottlenecks if any on priority so that execution of the projects shall not be delayed.
The DDC impressed upon the officers to work with zeal and dedication to achieve the set targets during the current financial year and also stressed on close monitoring of ongoing works to ensure quality and adherence to timelines.
