MSK Poonch launches awareness campaign on women centric schemes

Poonch  : District Hub for Women Empowerment, Mahila Shakti Kendra Poonch Wednesday started an initiative of spreading door to door awareness regarding Women Helpline 181 for women in distress.
The purpose of this campaign was to make people aware of the various services provided by Helpline 181 especially amid Covid-19 pandemic.
While talking about the Women Helpline Service, Women Welfare Officer, Priya Sharma said that it is an initiative of the Government to provide round the clock response to women affected by any kind of violence. District Coordinator, Tirath Kour also provided information about support services, government schemes and programs available to the women affected by violence. Medical aid, legal aid and Temporary shelter is also provided to the deserving persons, she said.
During this awareness campaign all the SOPs and the protocol of lockdown like maintenance of social distancing and compulsory usage of masks were followed and Main stress on e-sharm card and Old Pension schemes.
