DDC Rajouri calls for max coverage of youth under Self Employment Schemes, timely disbursement of loans

Rajouri : District Development Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal Tuesday chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the implementation of the Mission Youth and other self-employment generation schemes in the district.
Officers present in the meeting were ADDC, Pawan Kumar; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; LDM, Jyoti Prakash Sharma; AD Employment, Rekha Rani; Employment Officer, Aslam Beig; PO DUDA, Kavita and other concerned officers.
The meeting held a detailed discussion concerning progress (physical and financial) achieved under various employment generation schemes and those being implemented in the district under Mission Youth.
The meeting was informed that 1700 cases under employment generation schemes are in process out of which 882 cases are of Mission Youth.
While reviewing the progress made under the MUMKIN scheme, it was informed that 89 beneficiaries have been provided commercial vehicles under the scheme. Taking stock of the progress under Tejaswini scheme, the meeting was apprised that 793 cases have been forwarded to the banks for funding.
Regarding the activation of the youth clubs constituted in all the 312 panchayats of the district, the DDC asked the concerned officers to take effective measures to make the youth clubs vibrant and make sure that at least 02 meetings of the youth clubs are convened per week.
While reviewing the progress of the DUDA( District Urban Development Agency), the meeting was apprised that as many as 421 cases have been sponsored to the banks.
Similarly, the DDC also took a comprehensive review of the other self employment generation schemes being implemented by different departments in the district and asked the concerned officers to generate mass awareness among the unemployed and educated youth about these schemes and motivate them to avail the benefits of the same.
He asked the Bank Authorities to expedite the progress concerning the disbursement of sponsored cases so that the beneficiaries don’t suffer due to delayed disbursement.
He also impressed upon the concerned officers to work in a coordinated manner and with a positive attitude to mobilize the youth for availing the beneficiary oriented schemes introduced under the Mission Youth.
